It is viral. We hired Mike the painter to paint our 1959 ranch home. It looks great and we are pleased with the end result. Now we are looking at the inside and some updating that needs to be done. We also look around and wish we had a little more space, an enclosed garage, updated kitchen, and new carpet, tile, and wood floors… I find it similar to shopping in the holiday season. When I buy a couple of things I get in the mood to buy more. Before you know it I am thinking of everything I want but didn’t know I needed. So, we move forward on the “full on” addition and remodel. The good news is that it is not only us that caught the bug. A few of our neighbors seam to be caught up, as well there has been some new front yard landscaping at two homes on our street. Also, throughout the neighborhood many of the homes previously adorned in pink, purple, and mauve, now are wearing more clean and neutral color schemes.

So, I guess the viral nature of improvement is good. At this point we have a great painter we can recommend and are looking for sources for flooring, concrete, plumbing, electric, framing, roofing, cabinet, countertop, finish, and pool remodel workers. Our hope is that the neighborhood improves along with us.
